November's juicing adventure 6 days

When I signed up for BEJuicy I could only do 6 days, as I started later and went on holiday then and ever since coming back I have tried, unsuccessfully, to go back and do the full 10 days. So here I am now, with my Autumn juice cleanse, taking it one day at the time but aiming at minimum 1 week and 3 to 4 kilo loss, in order to then carry on with a raw food diet until 65kg. Let's see....

Thursday 8th November 69.80kg (result of dinner, so here I made a special Memory Card:
picking at dinner won't take the hunger away and will result in 1/2 kg more in the morning, so I am better off going for a walk, decluttering or knitting, which keeps my head away from food)
Breakfast and lunch: Green smoothie (1 banana, 1 apple, 2 pears and 3 handful of spinaches, produces a bit more than a litre which I sipped until 3pm)
Then I had about 30 grams of pasta with veggies
Dinner: V8 juice (cucumber, tomatoes, celery, carrots, apple, beetroot)

Wednesday 7th November 69.50 kg
Breakfast: Orange juice
Lunch: Salmorejo, left over from yesterday
Snack: 5 mandarines
Dinner: green juice (2 cucumber, 3 carrots, 3 sticks celery and 3 leafs chard) and CHEAT I picked from my kids dinner: 3 tiny pieces of brown bread, 2 pieces of fresh cheese and a few chips, was sooo hungry
Plan is juicing till Saturday, hope not to give in before, as it's getting quite chilly, then have a proper lunch on Sunday and start the 7 days Detox which includes some salads on more smoothies. http://www.bodyenlightenment.me/testdrive

Tuesday 6th November 69.90kgBreakfast juice of beetroot, 5 carrots, 2 apples, cucumber, courgette, ginger DELISH
Lunch, Salmorejo, 4 red beef tomatoes pureed with salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil
Snack homemade croissant CHEAT
Dinner 2 quinoa and veggie burguers MORE CHEAT, juice of courgettes, celery, cucmber and carrots
a few cups of red and green tea through the day, feeling very well and energized, I think I can get through to Saturday, which is the prime goal!

Monday 5th November: 70.50kgBreakfast: Orange juice
Lunch: green smoothie
Snack: 5 mandarins, 2 flower of leftover boiled cauliflower
Dinner: green juice (carrots, celery and cucumber)

Sunday: 4th November: 69.90kg
Breakfast: Green smoothie
Lunch: green smoothie  and bowl of pasta with homemade tomato sauce (cheat!)

As well as making me loose weight, giving me energy throughout the day, improving my health, it also makes me feel very well towards the environmentas in 2012 animal cruelty should've been stopped already, but that's another story...

Anyway, I stopped writing long ago, as life got busier after Xmas. Through "the 10 things you love about yourself for 30 days", which I have published below, I gained access to the Tera Warner BE program and followed it for the 30 days, I must say on and off, as being totally raw in February even in the South of Spain isn't very easy, as always surrounded by people having soups and stews, which I love. I didn't loose anything as the fruit smoothies were too sweet for my body and was always craving bread and "proper" food as well as felt deprived. But learnt a lot recipes wise and met some interesting people through the FB group, who introduced me to the Becks Diet

It is based on the cognitive therapy and even whilst waiting for the book and getting the info from their website and comments on the FB group, I started applying it and immediately starting loosing weight. Up until now I have lost 8kg, down from 77.6kg (it as scary to see the number...) to 69.4 this morning.

My final goal is 67kg, that's why it is called Last Pull of Diet!!!

In summer, I kind of left it loose, as July and August were really busy for me, as I manage holiday apartments , and also gained access to another one of Tera Warner's programs BE Juicy, interesting enough and followed it for 10 days, but funnily enough, as soon as I went back to eating salads and some grains, the 2 kilos lost got back on.

In summer I was up and down between 70.50 and 72, never able to get below that. Juicing is great for health, but only as 1 meal a day, not 3, as you keep feeling deprived

So last Monday (10th September)I decided to go back to my Becks cognitive therapy applied on vegan diet, which consist in:

Breakfast: mono fruit meal (I love melons this time of the year) or green smoothie (with no sweet fruit, apple, orange are fav with spinach or broccoli)
Lunch: mixed salad (anything raw you have at hand with little dressing) and grains for filling (I am Italian so I personally love pasta and pizzas, obviously no cheese and little oil)
Mid afternoon: another Italian fav Cappuccino
Dinner: Veggie juice (celery, cucumber, kale, beetroot being the most water releasing veggie)

This diet is based on extremely light nearly non existent dinner.
The first days you'll crave something more for dinner but it is very important to go past them whilst your body gets used to it and it will get used to the juice only for dinner.
You can use distraction techniques from Becks book.
You can drink as much water and herbal teas (NOT BLACK TEAS)throughout the day. Keep in mind that black teas and coffees prevent the water release, so keep it to one a day maximum.

I find it great as I don't feel deprived, I can have my fav food, grains (pasta or pizza) once a day in reasonable portions, half a pizza or 60 grams of pasta and a cappuccino. So, if throughout the day I crave something, I remind myself that I have already had it and it will be available for me the next day.

So here goes my food log of I went from 77 to 70kg in spring/summer 2012, so that you can get an idea

20th May Sunday

Today I had a nice waking up, went to the scale and it said...74.10kg! wow, I am sooo happy, so today I skip breakfast as I knew I'd be having a big lunch: fettuccini with wild mushrooms, ovenbaked veggies casserole and ice cream, everything home made and after that water fast till tomorrow night. I had also prepared a beautiful fruit salad, that it's still in the fridge and I will probably have it tomorrow for dinner as I don't think anybody in this household can face anymore to eat today!!!
The weather is terrible, rainy and windy, so we're locked in watching telly and reading, nice and relaxing.

21th May Monday
Waterfasting! Scale says 73.5 wowwww! So happy! I didn't even have time to think about the fast as I have been sooo busy all day long. Now I have just got home and still not hungry... And scale says 73.10, get yourself one it's very motivating.
I feel very energised and adrenalinic, I will use it to do some house works as yesterday I did nothing

22nd May Tuesday
Good morning! This morning 73kg!!!
I remember this from the famous diet I did, once you start to loose weight, really it is unstoppable, it's fantastic, as the body learns how to get rid of extra fat and water

23rd May Wed
Had a long day, my food today: water until 2pm, then lunch tomato salad with rocket and balsamic (it was huge so I ate half), half a coconut at mid afternoon and the rest of the salad with some extra watercress for dinner and 5 tortellini with spinach and cheese.

24th May Thu
not very happy today, as this morning scale said 73.2, it was probably the tortellini of last night (only 5 little ones, though) or some extra fluid retain... Still, I am a bit fed up. I had a green smoothie (2 oranges, 1 peach, 1/4 of a yellow melon, 1 banana and 2 handful of spinach) it was half of what I usually made and I couldn't finish it and I felt bloated for the following half and hour, strange. For lunch I had a big bowl of gazpacho (4 small tomatoes, half a cucumber, 1 small green pepper and 1 tiny spring onion) and just water from then.
But know I am heading to Malaga for some shopping and will most probably have dinner in a wok I usually go to and have vegetarian noodles, so yes, I will cheat and not go on the scale tomorrow and see if I can manage water fast again tomorrow to make up.
